A glossary of terms used in our products.

All Purpose Cling Film
As the name suggests, this PVC based cling film can be used to cover all types of food. Easily identifiable as it is yellow in colour.

LMF Cling Film (Low migration film) – PVC based film with low migration properties that produces a soft, flexible film with high cling properties. Easily identifiable as it is pink in colour.

PE Food Wrap (Polyethyene) - Migration free alternative to PVC film and is recommended for use with high fat content foods such as cheese, oily fish and foods preserved in an oily medium. Easily identifiable as it is white in colour.

Antibacterial LMF Cling Film - Anti-bac has built in protection with a recognized anti-bacterial agent which is highly effective at killing bacteria. The agent works when in contact with moisture, releasing its antibacterial properties to provide ongoing protection against common food poisoning bacteria.Easily identifiable as it is blue in colour.

Baking Parchment
Specifically developed for to withstand a range of temperatures, it can be used in cooking and freezing. Coated with silicone on both sides, baking parchment can be re-used up to 5 times in oven temperatures up to 500°C.

Greaseproof Paper
Coated on one side, Greaseproof paper is virtually impervious to grease and provides a natural barrier against fatty and sticky foods, keeping food fresh and allowing it to breathe.

Biodegradable cling film
Made from polyethylene and completely food safe. It contains an oxo-biodegradable additive allowing it to readily biodegrade even in landfill, avoiding the need for separation from other materials. Once exposed to a combination of heat, light and oxygen biodegradable cling film will start to degrade and will completely biodegrade in around two years; that’s faster than the natural degrading process of materials such as twigs and straw.

Lidding Agent
The term used when a product is used for covering containers.
